Two years ago, due in part to hundred of comments from VPIRG supporters, Vermont set a goal of getting 90% of our energy from renewable sources by 2050. Now, the State is assembling another report that could impact Vermont energy policy for years to come.
If the document that laid out 90% as Vermont’s goal- the Comprehensive Energy Plan- is the “what”, then the “Total Energy Study” that’s underway now is the “how.” As in, “How do we get to 90% renewable energy? What policies do we need, and what technologies should we use?”
