Since the 2014 Legislative session began, the Senate Agriculture Committee has been filled with expert testimony as committee members work to decide the future of Vermont’s GMO labeling bill.
Members of the Senate Agriculture and Senate Judicatory committees will be gathered to listen to your support for GMO labeling in Vermont. These lawmakers will determine further steps towards GMO labeling; they need to hear from constituents like you to make sure they make the right choice and vote yes on H.112.
This is your best chance to unite with other Vermonters and prove to lawmakers that our State is ready to pass strong and clear GMO legislation.
The hearing will be held in rain, shine, or blizzard. Regardless of the weather, step-up and take advantage of the captive audience and help achieve GMO labeling in Vermont once and for all!
For those that want to testify at the public hearing – YOU MUST PLAN TO ARRIVE AT THE STATE HOUSE EARLY TO SIGN UP TO TESTIFY IN PERSON. At present, we have been told that the sign up sheet for testimony will be available beginning at 5:30PM. Based on our experience with a similar public hearing in 2012, the line to sign up will be long and testimony is taken in the order of the sign-up sheet. So, please plan accordingly. We will keep you posted if there are any changes to the sign up time or logistics.
