Vermont’s Energy Choices: Old Dirty Problems, Clean Energy Solutions

Doing our part for clean energy and the climate means more than changing a light bulb.  Vermonters have choices to make.

•    We could to ask others to generate most of our power for us, often relying on dirty energy sources like coal, oil, fracked gas or nuclear power.
•    Or we could take responsibility for our energy future through conservation, efficiency and the development of local renewable energy resources like wind, solar, and small hydro power.

When it comes down to it, we must choose.  Are we willing to do what it takes to end our addiction to some of the most dangerous and polluting energy sources around?  And are we ready to be part of the solution?

The decisions that we make as a state extend far beyond Vermont’s borders.  This forum will confront the real impacts of continued reliance on dirty power – including images and voices from those affected and the latest disastrous headlines.  But it will also explore the tremendous opportunities we have to expand clean energy using the proven techniques of communities in Vermont and around the world.

Join us along with Senator Bernie Sanders* on Saturday, April 27th, 1:30 PM at Billings Auditorium, Burlington for a community forum, Vermont’s Energy Choices: Old Dirty Problems, Clean Energy Solutions.
