Hold a Facebook Fundraiser

The big-money special interests don’t fund groups like ours, and we wouldn’t take their money if they did. VPIRG is a people-powered organization and proud of it.  

Small dollar grassroots support is what enables VPIRG to continue to educate thousands of Vermonters every year about the critical issues we face and then mobilize them in support of solutions that advance the public interest. 

And YOU can play a role in supporting our grassroots fundraising efforts!

To create a Facebook fundraiser for VPIRG, all your need to do is:

  1. Visit https://www.facebook.com/fundraisers/ or click Fundraisers in the left menu of your News Feed.
  2. Click Raise Money.
  3. Click Select Nonprofit.
  4. Type VPIRG into the search bar.
  5. Select VPIRG as the recipient of your Fundraiser and fill in the Fundraiser details. We recommend selecting a realistic funding goal and timeline and personalizing the Fundraiser description to include why VPIRG is personally important to YOU.
  6. Click Create.
  7. To help ensure the success of your Fundraiser, post about it more than once, give periodic progress updates, and tag Facebook friends who you think would be interested in supporting VPIRG’s critical public interest work.
