The Vermont Senate voted 28-0 to update the state’s net metering law, which allows Vermonters to go renewable and offset their electric bills in return. Net metering works, and is a big part of why Vermont is 9th in the nation in installed solar power per capita, and solar is more affordable and easier to install than ever before. Update net metering means more Vermonters can advantage of the stat’s most successful renewable energy program.
