The VT Right to Know GMOs campaign, led by VPIRG, Rural Vermont and NOFA-VT, made big steps forward in the effort to label genetically engineered foods. While we’re up against some of the world’s largest corporations, like Monsanto, our efforts are having an impact. According to Marketplace’s report, state-by-state labeling efforts have driven Monsanto to try and assure Wall Street that their genetically engineered foods will continue to sell.

This fight is far from over, and we know we have our work cut out for us. That’s why we’ll be spending the summer working with lawmakers and legal experts to make sure we get genetically engineered foods labeled in Vermont.
