We’re saddened to report that VPIRG canvasser and friend, Ben Mohla, was killed in a car crash on Saturday evening, Nov. 23rd. Ben and two others were on their way to Massachusetts when the vehicle spun out of control due to the snowy conditions and hit a tree.
Ben always wanted to make everyone around him smile. He was a great canvasser and co-worker, and an even better friend. He had the innate ability to cheer up an entire room just with his infectious laugh and energetic presence. Ben played an integral part in the many successes of the VPIRG canvass, and will be sorely missed.
Ben was a bright star and loyal friend. He believed, as we all believe, that things can always get better if you work hard and care enough. This summer and every summer, he’ll be remembered.
