Knocking on Doors in Orleans County Makes the News

VPIRG’s GMO labeling campaign team is knocking on doors in towns never visited by the organization before.

Canvassers camped in state parks in Orleans County recently talk with residents in Barton, Glover, Newport, Newport Center, Derby, Holland, and Morgan about efforts underway to label genetically-modified foods (often called GMOs) in Vermont.  The campaign caught the attention of the Barton Chronicle recently featured a story of progress on the campaign so far.  Read the article here on page 13.

Field Manager, Becca White, (pictured right) was one of the leaders of the door-to-door campaign in Newport and Derby.  VPIRG’s team hopes to knock on doors in every Vermont city and town by the end of the summer.
