Summer Canvasser

VPIRG is currently looking for students to work from April 29th to August 30th, as a part of our summer outreach campaign. Employees will work Monday through Friday traveling throughout Vermont, fundraising and engaging Vermonters in important political issues like clean energy and expanding Vermont’s most successful recycling program- the bottle bill. Employees can earn anywhere from 4,000 to 8,000 dollars, meet incredible friends, and be a part of an unforgettable movement along the way.

VPIRG provides a number of field organizing internship opportunities for students throughout the year. Internships vary in content and focus based on the projects and programs they support. Basic tasks include but are not limited to generating letters to the editor, phone-banking, event organizing, email and social media communication and basic community organizing. All internships provide a unique opportunity to get hands-on experience working to defend the public interest by conducting field organizing activities related to one of our main program areas; clean energy, environmental health, health care reform and democracy. Policy Advocacy Internships
VPIRG provides a number of unpaid internship opportunities for students throughout the year. Internships vary in content and focus based on the projects and programs they support. Interns work directly with VPIRG advocates and organizers and collaborate with partner organizations and staff in the completion of their projects. Interns generally work out of our Montpelier office for a minimum of 10 hours per week. Some travel may be required depending on the project. These are unpaid positions, however stipends and/or credit options may be available through your school or other sponsorship.
