Bottle Bill Resources
As we campaign to protect and improve Vermont’s Bottle Bill, we’re working with national partners and advocates in other states to share strategies and lessons. Here are some links to additional resources and information about the Bottle Bill.
Findings on Expanding Vermont’s Bottle Bill (2012)
A new study shows that expanding Vermont’s Bottle Bill would recycle almost 100 million additional beverage containers each year. Broadening this program to cover plastic water bottles and other beverage containers would also reduce energy consumption, cut greenhouse gas emissions and litter, create jobs and generate more revenue for local businesses.
The Container Recycling Institute
The Container Recycling Institute (CRI), founded in 1991, is the leading nonprofit organization dedicated to studying and promoting policies and programs that increase recovery and recycling of beverage containers, and shifting the social and environmental costs associated with manufacturing, recycling, and disposal of container and packaging waste from government and taxpayers to producers and consumers.
