Ever wish you could get paid to travel Vermont, bike around some of the most scenic parts of the state, camp with friends, and actually make an impact on the future of important environmental issues? If you answered yes, we have the job for you!
VPIRG is looking for passionate individuals to work May through August as a part of our summer outreach campaign. Employees will work Monday through Thursday traveling throughout Vermont, fundraising and engaging Vermonters in our Campaign to Stop Single-Use Plastics. Employees earn $12/hour PLUS incentive pay (as much as $4,000 to $8,000 dollars this summer), meet incredible friends, and be a part of an unforgettable movement along the way.
You’ll get to work with leaders including 2019 Canvass Director Sam Hurt (check out her video below). Right now, she’s in the State House working to pass some of the boldest plastics legislation in the country. This summer, she’s taking the effort to communities across Vermont to build public support and engagement for even more action. Join Sam and our grassroots canvass team this summer!
In addition to having an impact, canvassing for VPIRG increases your knowledge of environmental issues and Vermont, while giving you hands-on experience in practical communication, fundraising, organizing and advocacy skills. Apply today to become part of a fun and fast paced work environment that promotes a great cause and provides concrete skills and experience for careers in non-profit, environmental and advocacy fields.
