Webinar: What You Need to Know About the Climate Action Plan

Recently, VPIRG’s own Ben Edgerly Walsh moderated the latest entry in the Climate Action Works webinar series, What You Need to Know About the Climate Action Plan.

Ben was joined by officially appointed Vermont Climate Council members, who shared the latest updates about the work being done in each of the subcommittees to develop the Climate Action Plan.

Watch it below, or click here!

We heard from the advocacy community about their priorities for the plan, including:

  1. Ensuring that it cuts emissions across all sectors of Vermont’s economy in line with the Global Warming Solutions Act’s requirements and what climate science demands,
  2. That it is equitable, so everybody can be a part of this transition, and
  3. That it is supported by ongoing, sufficient funding to meet those objectives.

With public engagement events happening now, this is a critical time to show up for climate action in Vermont.
The Climate Council wants to hear from you about what you would like to see included in Vermont’s Climate Action Plan! Click here for more info.
