Last year the Vermont Senate passed S.20, a bill that would allow mid-level dental practitioners (called dental therapists) to practice in Vermont, passed through the Senate. This session the bill has passed out of the necessary House committees and is on its way to the House floor.
The dental therapist model, implemented in two U.S. states and in over 50 countries around the world, is proven to provide improved care and increase access to treatment for our most vulnerable populations. We can get this bill passed in the House this year and signed into law – but we need your help. Take action below by contacting your reps (via email or phone), sharing your dental care story with us, writing a letter to your local paper and encouraging your friends and family to also take action on social media!
