Protecting Vermonters against petroleum price gouging

In an effort to address the growing concerns surrounding petroleum price gouging, VPIRG worked with the Attorney General in 2006 in support of legislation that will make it easier to prosecute cases of price gouging by gasoline stations and fuel dealers, and provide consumers with better protections when they enter into pre-buy and guarantee price contracts for heating fuel.
