David Fischer is a young professional taking a year off of college to fight for what’s right, not what’s easy. He’s been growing with VPIRG for two and a half years, working as a canvasser, assistant director of the canvass operation, and a phone bank organizer. He’s a bred-if-not-born Vermonter (he’s been here since age 3), and he uses his experiences sugaring, sledding, skiing and shoveling to motivate him to fight for Vermont’s environment and economy.
Emily Daroga
Emily Daroga is currently a student at the University of Vermont studying philosophy and history. Growing up, she spent much of her time in the White Mountains, where she developed her belief in environmentalism. Still having a deep care for the environment, she plans on using philosophy as a way to effectively argue in favor of environmental policy for the rest of her life.
Erin McIntosh
Erin McIntosh is currently a sophomore at UVM majoring in Sociology with a minor in Community and International Development. She was born and raised in Vermont, and is a long time skier at Smugglers Notch- Erin would love to stop climate change to protect those mountains that are so valuable to Vermont. She started working for VPIRG at the start of the 2016 summer canvass and plans to continue working in the non-profit sector.
Nate LaGue
Nate LaGue is a senior at UVM, studying Political Science. He started working for VPIRG earlier this year as a summer canvasser. He grew up in Belvidere and has lived in Vermont his whole life. Outside of work and school, Nate enjoys passing the time playing music.
